The Rev. Sila of the Universal Spirit Ministry said her church is now raising funds to purchase land, and to build men’s, women’s and animal shelters with showers in Pahoa.
She also plans a cafeteria to feed the hungry and a hall for meetings, classes, an office/day center and retreat. The group also wants to purchase an “emergency pick-up van.”
